The May catfish bite is on fire. Cats are good on small shad, off windy points, flooded grass, and running water. Heavy rains have Lake Tawakoni 2 ft over the water pool and rising. Water temps holding mid to high 70s. The shad spawn has started with large numbers storming the shallows. Blue cats are in the pre-spawn mode eating everything in site. Spawning will begin soon and run through June. San T rigs with 4/0, 5/0 offset circle hooks work best.
